A more passive way to earn on Hirechain by allowing candidates to be matched to other jobs
Open referrals are a more passive way of earning on Hirechain. Here's how they work.
What is an open referral?
An 'open referral' is when a referrer gives Hirechain permission to contact a candidate regarding relevant job openings. If Hirechain places the candidate within a 6 month period, you will earn a percentage of the hiring company's total fee.
How much can I earn?
If an 'open referral' has been created, the referrer is eligible for a bounty payment of up to 15% of the hiring company's total fee (capped at $5k) if the following conditions are met:
- The referrer enabled 'open referrals' when they originally referred the candidate
- Another referrer has not submitted that candidate as an open referral within the last 6 months
- Hirechain places the candidate within 6 months of your open referral
How do I enable open referrals?
Option 1
When you refer a candidate to a specific job on Hirechain make sure you tick the checkbox that states:
"I give Hirechain permission to contact this candidate regarding similar positions whereby I am eligible for an 'Open Referral' bounty."
Option 2
If you don't see a role, but you have a great candidate, you can now easily submit them to the Hirechain platform. To the right of the job board, you will see Submit a candidate. Click here and follow the easy steps to upload the candidate's profile.
Tracking open referrals
We are working on integrating this tracking into the dashboard but for now, you can see which candidates have open referrals enabled by looking for the shield icon next to their name on your 'Activity' page.
