How to onboard companies to your job board
Growing your job board starts with inviting companies from your network. Here's how to onboard companies and get their jobs listed.
Your Invite Link
Every job board has a unique company invite link. Find it on your Job Board Portal dashboard under Your Invite Link.
When companies visit this link, they'll see a signup form that indicates they're joining your job board.
Your invite link is customized to your job board. Do not modify it when sharing - the link tracks which companies came through your referral.
How Company Onboarding Works
- Share your invite link with companies in your network
- Company signs up and creates their Hirechain account
- Approval - You review and approve the company (see Managing Companies)
- Connect career page - Company links their ATS or careers page
- Jobs sync - Hirechain automatically pulls their jobs to your board
Ways to Invite Companies
Direct Outreach
- Email companies individually with your invite link
- Include the link in newsletters to your community
- Share in community Slack/Discord channels
Website Integration
- Add a "Post Jobs" or "For Employers" link on your job board
- Include a call-to-action for companies to join
Events & Announcements
- Mention the job board at community events
- Include in partnership announcements
- Add to onboarding materials for new members
What Companies See
When a company clicks your invite link, they'll see:
- Your branding
- A clear indication they're joining your job board
- Simple signup form (name, email, company details)
- Next steps to connect their career page
After Companies Sign Up
Once a company signs up through your invite link:
- You'll be notified of the new application
- Review the company in your Job Board Portal
- Approve or reject based on your criteria
- If approved, the company can connect their career page
- Jobs begin syncing automatically
Best Practices
- Be selective - Only invite companies that genuinely belong in your network
- Set expectations - Let companies know about the approval process
- Follow up - Reach out to companies who signed up but haven't connected their careers page
- Communicate value - Explain the benefits of being listed on your curated job board
Transitioning to Email Invites
Once you've onboarded the majority of your companies, you can transition from the public invite link to a more controlled email-based invite system. Contact Hirechain to enable this feature.
